The ScienceMakers Digital Archive features the largest (over 900 hours) and only fully accessible archive of video recorded oral history interviews of 211 of the nation’s top African American scientists. Funded by a National Science Foundation grant, ScienceMakers charts the successful career pathways of these scientists across a variety of STEM disciplines while providing important role models for current and future generations. Its enduring impact will be felt for generations.
The HistoryMakers Digital Library is a primary source digital repository with 8554 items from the personal archives and collections of numerous HistoryMakers including letters, photographs, scrapbooks, speeches, audio/video recordings, and more.
The HistoryMakers Digital Archive is the realization of our efforts to bring African American history to the forefront. It is a premium educational tool to get detailed insight into the people, places, and stories from American history you may never have heard.
Unlike other similar resources, The HistoryMakers Digital Archive provides high-quality video content, fully searchable transcripts, and unique content from individuals whose life stories would have been lost were it not for The HistoryMakers.
