Chris Cortese

Chris Cortese joined the segmenting team at The HistoryMakers in 2023. They particularly enjoy researching and fact checking the names and places from HistoryMaker interviews. Chris was born and raised in Fairfax County, Virginia. They attended The Ohio State University where they obtained their B.A. in History and International Studies as well as their M.A. in Public History. They also played Sousaphone in the Ohio State University Marching Band for five years and dotted the “i” in Script Ohio against Wisconsin in 2022. Before moving to Chicago and joining The HistoryMakers, they worked as an A/V and Exhibit Technician at the Center of Science and Industry in Columbus, Ohio.
