Zhu Sun joined The HistoryMakers in 2011. As the Chief of Staff, she leads The HistoryMakers’ business and financial operations, keeping the organization moving on the right track. She has also been supervising the production of The HistoryMakers’ PBS TV Tapings, the Back To School With The HistoryMakers program, as well as conferences and local receptions since 2012. Once the Library of Congress became the permanent repository for The HistoryMakers in 2014, she supervised the processing team as they published over 2,000 interviews to The HistoryMakers Digital Archive within a two-year period. Her career began when – due to her impressive academic record – she was recruited to work as Financial Assistant to the Associate Dean of the College of Engineering shortly after graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago, serving for two years. She received her Master of Science in Accounting and MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is both a registered CPA with the State of Illinois and a Chartered Certified Accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
