Sharion Brown is the Education Coordinator for The HistoryMakers. In her role she leads The HistoryMakers’ K-12 initiatives. Sharion has worked for over 30 years in the field of education, serving previously as a teacher, school, and district level administrator. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Tuskegee University (Biology); Master’s Degree in Education (Learning Design and Instructional Technology), and a Teaching Certificate in Digital/Multimedia and Information Resources Design. Sharion has also served as an adjunct lecturer at Marygrove College and Wayne State University teaching both, undergraduate and graduate level courses. She has completed post-secondary studies at Harvard University (Urban and Charter School Leadership; Social Entrepreneurship) and Wayne State University (Curriculum and Instruction). Sharion is active in her church and community, serving on National Board of Directors, and several Advisory Boards. She has served as Chairperson for three major events, most recently a Quad-Centennial Celebration held in October 2019, in Atlanta, GA. In her spare time, Sharion enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her family.
