ReligionMakers: Strength In Faith

ReligionMakers: Strength In Faith celebrates African American religious leaders and all of the mentors who inspired them. Individual video tributes will be featured on our YouTube channel throughout October 2021 with a 20-minute program premiering at the end of the month.

Those featured include Reverend Nan Arrington Peete, the first ordained woman to address the Lambeth Conference in Canterbury; Reverend Dr. Frederick Douglass Haynes, III, Senior Pastor of Friendship-West Baptist Church and “Praise Break” leader on the Rickey Smiley Show; Reverend Dr. Elaine Flake, Pastor of Greater Allen AME Cathedral; and Bishop Carolyn Tyler Guidry, the second ever female bishop in the A.M.E. Church.
