Biography

Entertainment lawyer, television and film producer, and executive coach Wendy R. Credle was born on May 25, 1965, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Janet and Robert Credle. Raised primarily in Boston, Massachusetts, Credle received her B.S. degree in communications in 1987 from the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and her J.D. degree in 1999 from the Fordham University School of Law, in New York City.

After college, Credle worked as a secretary at Atlantic Records in New York City, where she managed such artists as En Vogue, the System, Levert, Brandy, Yo Yo, the D.O.C., MC Lyte, Chuckii Booker, Miki Howard, Gerald Albright and the Rude Boys, and Chris Bender. She then worked at MCA Records as an A&R director for five years and at Def Jam Records, after which she decided to attend law school. In 2002, Credle founded her own law firm, Credle & Associates PLLC, representing clients in the entertainment industry including Ne-Yo, Chrisette Michele, Anthony Hamilton, Mario Winans, Chris Brown, Lil Mo, BBD, Rakim, Raven Symone, and Stephanie Mills.

In 2012, Credle founded Spanda Corporate Workshops & Executive Coaching, serving such clients as the World Bank, BET, Universal, the Greater Newark Conventions Bureau, Prudential, and New York University. In 2013, she founded WenPie Productions, producing the television show To Have and To Hold: Charlotte and the television special A Tribute to Andre Harrell: Mr. Champagne & Bubbles. Credle was featured in the reality TV show Money. Power. Respect. in 2016. In 2017, Credle’s first book, Business Lessons for Tomorrow's Leaders: An Inspirational Memoir and Guide for Success in Business and in Life, was released under the publishing arm of Spanda Corporate Workshops & Executive Coaching. Credle also has served as an attorney for KPA Multi-Ethnic Talent Management & Productions and a real estate agent for Sotheby’s in Bergen County, New Jersey, New York City, and the Hamptons.

Credle lives in New York City. She had one son, Gianni Credle-Harrell, with the late Andre Harrell.
